GAS DETECTOR (METHANE)
The DG-1 ME is a microprocessor-based natural gas (methane) detector. It is recommended to install it in areas prone to leaks, such as near heating devices, stoves, or heaters powered by gas (in boiler rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.), as well as in the vicinity of gas connections and meters. Due to the nature of methane, which is lighter than air, the device should be mounted high, just below the ceiling of the monitored room. The digital gas detection algorithm and temperature compensation algorithm ensure proper operation of the detector over a wide range of ambient temperatures and high resistance to false alarms. The device detects the exceeding of a dangerous concentration of methane in the room – the threshold of 20% of the so-called lower explosion limit, triggering an alarm (10% for pre-alarm). With a built-in buzzer and a yellow LED, the DG-1 ME can function as an autonomous detection and signaling device, but it is also designed to cooperate with an alarm system. Thanks to the self-diagnostic function, both the status of the power supply and the correctness of the gas sensor operation are continuously monitored, ensuring reliable operation of the detector.
