The cartridges are filled with a fine-grained catalytic medium (certified by the American agency NSF).

Application

The cartridge has been designed by UST-M engineers to maximize the contact time of water with the medium. Water flows through the cartridge axially (from bottom to top), remaining in contact with the filtration medium for a longer period. This fact, combined with the catalytic properties of the medium, ensures that water passing through the cartridge is virtually free of all iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide ions. As a result, it reduces the problem of rusty streaks on fixtures, metallic aftertaste in water, and the unpleasant smell of rotten eggs.
